Fill out the contact form with your information and description of your project. I will contact you for a phone interview, so we can talk “shop” – discuss the scope of the project, understand the budget, answer any questions, and just get to know each other better. Next, we will schedule the complementary initial consultation in your home. During this hour to hour in a half, we will have an open discussion about style preferences, functional requirements, review of current furnishings, accessories, art and create a timeline of project progression. Please share any design inspirations – magazine photos, Pinterest boards, art pieces, fabric, etc. Also, please have a budget in mind for your project – not the most glamorous part of the process, but absolutely vital!

Our Interior Design Process
Step One
Step Two
Depending on the scope of your project, any or all of the following may occur: create a concept board to show the suggested interior design, which may include furnishings, fabric, color palette, paint choices, art, accessories, wall coverings, floor coverings, lighting, and window treatments. The concept board may also include a space plan or furniture layout for existing and/or new furnishings. For kitchens or bathrooms, suggestions for hard surface treatments may be included. We will review the design concept together and discuss any issues, questions, or concerns
Step Three
Is all about execution! Our project goes full-steam ahead as we begin to implement our design concept. This may involve ordering new furniture, shopping for fabrics, picking out a granite and custom backsplash, or ordering that new carpet you’ve been putting off! During this phase, I may also be coordinating with my upholstery or drapery workrooms on your custom projects. Any new construction, repair, or installation of new materials would be done during this timeframe.
Step Four
No great outfit looks complete without the perfect accessories – and neither does your newly updated space! We put the finishing touches on your design concept by shopping for new accessories and/or repurposing items you already have. Then it’s on to the final reveal! I’ll set everything up, place everything just so, light the candles, and viola… your own custom design concept has just come to life!

Erica’s adventure into design started 15 years ago when she took a leap of faith and left her social services/psychology career and fully embraced working in the interior design field. Initially, honing her skills in visual merchandising at small boutique shops to large furniture and housewares giants. Erica transitioned to model home design for a prestigious Southern California firm and ultimately found her niche in residential interior design. She has an innate aptitude for the application of color, pattern and texture and especially enjoys designing kitchens and bathrooms. Erica also has extensive knowledge and experience in window treatments (She’s a Certified Hunter Douglas Designer) and soft furnishing design. Personally, she enjoys wine tasting, entertaining, cooking, listening to music, and traveling.

With more than 30 years of extensive experience, Kim possesses an innate desire to create and design interiors that exceed clients’ expectations. With an eye for quality, a superior sense of style, and a client-centered approach to business, Kim’s ability to develop client relationships based on respect, trust, and confidence has been the key to her success as a designer. Skilled at creating beautiful designs under a variety of budgets, styles, timeframes, and requirements, Kim guides her clients through every phase of the design process.
